Mission Statement
Mission Statement: My classroom is a place where students should feel welcome: everyone should feel free to learn and participate without worrying about put-downs or soul-crushing gossip.

HOUSEKEEPING:
1. Camp Muskoka is a tech-free zone. Please ensure your child does NOT bring their cell phone/tablet/abacus...Any devices will be stored in a Ziploc bag and returned at the end of the trip.
2. Look at the Science Classroom (Google Class) where the grade 8 "Packing List" for the upcoming Muskoka trip is found. It may not be ready by 4:00 p.m. today, so check it out tomorrow.

ENGLISH
1. Lit circle #4 is up on the classroom. It's what we talked about today - the resume for a character. The session will be held on Friday, May 4th, so be sure you have completed the work by then.
2. Reading bonus is up and running! It's due Friday at midnight.
3. One-Minute talks are tomorrow!!!! We have practiced in groups, pairs, individually...we have also looked at the rubric. We are ready to go. Tonight, talk to yourself in a mirror about random topics. Remember the conversations threads we discussed: description, function, history, anecdote...
