4. Still waiting for two kids to complete their Grade 9 Course Selection Survey on Google Classroom. I need that info!


KUDOS TO:  Mobin, for helping me attach all the chromebook cables to the cart. As well, kudos to Jamie for volunteering to present her French book talk. She was the only one who stepped forward without the need for teacher cajoling. Kudos to Denys and Carson for singing to ETHAN(in French). As well, kudos to Scott and Mikayla for singing to Shauna.

1. Persuasive Writing Organizer for our "Rick Mercer Rant" is due Tuesday, January 16.

2. Grade 8s: complete the preliminary Grade 9 Course Selection Survey on our Google Class. Still waiting for two more.

3. Zones: complete two of the questions from the lesson based on the Outsiders clips we watched in class. This is due tomorrow.

4. 5 kids didn't manage to finish their response to the Rick Mercer article. Get this done for tomorrow, please.

KUDOS TO:  A group of students came to redo their math tests and did a terrific job picking up on the learning and demonstrating their understanding. Chelsea, Jina, and Allen said they were part of it (and they don't mind having their name up). As well, Kudos to Aimee for winning the preliminary angle challenge game. And finally, Thomas for being a baller. Oh - and the boys in grade 8 won Pictionary.

KUDOS TO:   The class: I asked you to represent our school in the greatest possible light at the theatre and you were successful. Not a scrap of garbage was left behind in the theatre, I heard a lot of "thank-yous", and you carried yourselves with poise. These experiences make me want to run as many field trips as I possibly can.

KUDOS TO:   Jamie, Natalie, and Kaitlin for being the first students to figure out the formula (n-2) x 180 to determine the total degrees in any polygon. As well, kudos to Denys for coming up with his own working formula!
