A number of students have a significant amount of reading to do for their lit circle books - talk to your child about setting aside time every night to read.

ENGLISH:
1. Lit Circle #3 takes place on Wednesday: the task is to trick out your locker. Remember: it's a metaphorical locker, so the items you include should not appear in a literal sense in the novel. E.g., if the character is always playing with a rubber ball, I don't want to see that in the locker. More like, if the character is always thinking about his mom who is away on a business trip, maybe there is a photo of her in the locker.
2. Passion Project: next Thursday is our next session. Make sure you have materials/work to do for that time.
MATH:
1. Math bonus is up and running
2. The unit conversion paper handed out today is due Monday. There will be a quiz on this topic on Monday.
FRENCH:
1. Test on Monday for the final reading
2. We will upload your "dialogues" on Monday
GEOGRAPHY GRADE 8:

Health Grade 8:1. List of 20 foods that are good for you (specifically), divided up by breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and beverages). This is due next Wednesday.
Music:1. Essay on Jazz due April 19 at 11:59 p.m.
2.
ART:
I read the blog: On Thursday, tell me your favorite season: spring, summer, fall, or winter.

This blog will be used as a means to maintain contact between school, parents, and students. By subscribing to the class blog ("Follow by Email" on the right side of the page), you will receive an email update between 3 and 5 p.m. every day (I will do my best...).
Mission Statement
Mission Statement: My classroom is a place where students should feel welcome: everyone should feel free to learn and participate without worrying about put-downs
