Mission Statement
Mission Statement: My classroom is a place where students should feel welcome: everyone should feel free to learn and participate without worrying about put-downs or soul-crushing gossip.
HOUSEKEEPING:
1. SUNDAY NIGHT! We have extended the order date to Sunday night at midnight. Remember to login through Firefox or Chrome. Does not like mobile devices.
Use the image above as a reference for ordering. Don't forget that you have to first create an account before ordering. DUE: SUNDAY NIGHT! Check out School Tees.com
2. Growth and Development: a letter came home outlining the topics covered in G+D for this year (grade 8s). Please sign it and hand it back by Thursday. If it is not returned by next week, the student will not participate in the growth and development lesson.
3. Mr. Maclean is putting together the graduation slideshow and needs your help! If you have candid shots you can part with (digitals are best), we need to get them into his hands. Either share them with me via goggle drive or put them on a thumb drive. Deadline is coming up. You can email your photos directly to: donald.maclean@rogers.com
4. DDPS Spring Fair Raffle: donations are required for the upcoming DDPS annual Spring Fair (June 18th, from 5-8p.m.). Our class' basket theme is: "OUTSIDE SUMMER FUN", and students/families are kindly asked to donate an item that fits within this theme. Please ensure the donations are non-perishable and nut-free. A monetary donation can instead be submitted and we will purchase a theme item for the basket. Finally, the order sheet for the raffle tickets came home last week. Everyone received one, but some kids may not have brought them home.
5. Spring Fair (part 2): Monday, June 18, 5-8 pm. Come one, come all! A large yellow order form went home with information about pricing for events and food. If you plan on attending, please complete the form and return it by Tuesday, June 5th. You can make your cheques payable to Devins Drive PS or you can pay online.
6. Mrs. Smith would like all 7s to bring their materials for decorating their structures for Tuesday.
KUDOS TO: Chelsea, Jessica, and Kaitlin for being the first three to hand in their "story of Macbeth": excellent note-taking skills, girls!
