Goals Reflection

Well, we have been working at our daily goals for three weeks now (by this Friday, that is), and I'm wondering if you have been more, or less successful at achieving them by following the strategies we have employed in class (not sharing them aloud, and tracking daily successes on the chart in front of the class).

It's time to reflect - time for a little metacognition (look it up!)  Your task is the following:

1. Write a paragraph reflecting on your success/lack of success in achieving your daily goals.

2. The length of the paragraph is the following: the number of words must match the total possible outcomes of throwing two six-sided dice and spinning a 4-colour spinner.
Watch the following video on probability for a little refresher: PROBABILITY.

3.  In your paragraph, think about including some of the following ideas
-Was your goal realistic?  Was it unobtainable?
-Did you achieve it as many times as you thought you would?
-Did the daily tracking motivate you to complete your goal?
-By not saying a word to anyone about your goal, did this have an impact on what you set out to do on a daily basis? (notice how I didn't say: "goal" twice in that sentence - that would have repetitive).

4.  In terms of language conventions, I am looking carefully for the following:
a.  A strong opening line
b.  NO COMMA SPLICES
c. A strong finish (do not just repeat the first sentence!)

5.  Finally, you may NOT say what your goal actually was at any point in the paragraph.  Instead, you will include an image (taken from the internet) that serves as a clue to what you were trying to accomplish.  For example, if my daily goal was: "Give someone different a compliment each day", then I could choose an image such as the following:
