Mission Statement

Mission Statement: My classroom is a place where students should feel welcome: everyone should feel free to learn and participate without worrying about put-downs
or soul-crushing gossip.

Monday, May 14, Day 1

HOUSEKEEPING:

1. Grad tees/hoodies are now available.  Use the image above as a reference for ordering.  Don't forget that you have to first create an account before ordering.

2. Grade 7 Trip!!!! The permission form came home!  May 24 is a HARD DATE - there will be no extensions as I have to order the Blue Jays tickets that day.  If your child does not hand it in by that morning, regrettably, they will not be going on the trip.

3.  We have track and field training tomorrow - if it's a bit wet, we will do shot put, so dress for the weather.

KUDOS TO
Ella, for building the beautiful Shakespeare mini-books, Jennifer for winning the Shakespeare Kahoot, Jessica for winning first place in the Shakespeare scavenger hunt, 2nd place to Luke, and 3rd place to Carter.  Well done!!!!

ENGLISH

1.   Students will be insulting each other tomorrow.  Yes.  This is true.  Each student must prepare at least one bell-ringing Shakespearian insult (from a list of approved words) which will serve as an attack during a little contest tomorrow.

2.  Movie-Making: all footage is due Thursday, May 24.  I have booked a double-period this Friday in class (in the a.m.) to do final touches if you need it.  Get on it!

3. Students received their book reviews back today. 1/2 of the class received a paper copy and the other 1/2 have it in google classroom.  Please take a few minutes to read this over with your child tonight.
