Mission Statement: My classroom is a place where students should feel welcome: everyone should feel free to learn and participate without worrying about put-downs
or soul-crushing gossip.

Read for 15 minutes every night!

HOUSEKEEPING:

1. Grade 8: a very large package of sheets came home for the Muskoka trip.  There are four pages to be signed and returned, the rest are to be kept at home.  These are due by Thursday, March 28.

2. Grade 8 Graduation: I will be meeting with any grade 8 parents interested in helping with the planning process.  We will meet in room 129 on Thursday, April 5, at 6:00 p.m.  Looking forward to your input and creative abilities.   A form came home explaining this.

3.

KUDOS TO
Paige (Jamie's mom), for answering our RESP question and  for giving us the PAGE (pun intended) on TFSAs!

HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:

1. Movie Making: Character Bio is due Thursday.  It's on Google Classroom.

2.
Reading at home: most kids are not reading enough and I have spoken with them of adding this to the daily routine at home.  Carve 15 minutes out of your daily Fortniting.

MATH:

1.  Come up with a base salary to start the game.  Be prepared to defend your choice.  Remember, you are paying for everything with this salary.

2. Gameplay: What are the components of a "turn?" Can we play this as a whole group? Or, do we play it in smaller groups? If whole group, what does a turn look like? I'm envisioning people having opportunities to buy items, save money, work extra hours...that kind of thing. Do we make a game board? Do we just use the class? Open to all ideas.

3.  Bonus is up and running.  Due Thursday, March 29
