HOUSEKEEPING:

1.  Students: please print your advocacy cards (if you have a printer at home).


2. Photo day: Wednesday, October 4.  A "Get Ready" flyer came home.

.  Tomorrow is our Terry Fox run.  Students are encouraged to bring a $2 coin (toonie for Terry).  All funds raised will be donated to the Terry Fox Research Institute.

.  MEET THE CREATURE TONIGHT! ONE NIGHT ONLY!  See you there.  First session is from 6:30 - 7:10; second session is from 7:20 - 8:00.

. Wear orange on Friday in support of all Indigenous Peoples who were sent to Residential Schools.

.  Grade 8 Survey (for the grad trip): please hand it back as soon as possible.


KUDOS TO: Natalie for getting the forehand flick on her first try. It was a thing of beauty.


HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:
1. Bring novel to class.  


MATH:
1. Still waiting for a few signed Math Notebook Rubrics.  As well, we began a little look at Shackelton's Antarctic expedition.  Ask your child to see if they remember any details.

FRENCH:
1. We examined the words of "O Canada" in French today (and sang it).  Have them sing it to you (kidding). 

2. Students need to practise "5 par jour".  One student will be called upon to ask questions to their peers on Tuesday.

HISTORY:
1. Quiz this Friday, September 29 (grade 8s).  This will be based on the first page of Canada's Confederation.  

ART:
1. Print your animal and finish zentangle (due Wednesday)
2.  Colour your Canadian Iconic Image for next Wednesday
3. Pencil drawing of animal shape is due tomorrow
