HOUSEKEEPING:

1.  Students: please print your advocacy cards (if you have a printer at home).

2. Complete the 5x5 Canadian Icon photo

3. Photo day: Wednesday, October 4.  A "Get Ready" flyer came home.  

4.  This Friday is our Terry Fox run.  Students are encouraged to bring a $2 coin (toonie for Terry).  All funds raised will be donated to the Terry Fox Research Institute.

5.  Football players: you must bring home and have signed all permission forms by Thursday.  I'm sorry about the short turnaround time, but it had to be done.  All forms and money: due Thursday!

6.  MEET THE CREATURE this Thursday evening!  See you there.  First session is from 6:30 - 7:10; second session is from 7:20 - 8:00.  

7. Wear orange on Friday in support of all Indigenous Peoples who were sent to Residential Schools.

HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:
1. Complete the first reading response (formative) on google class. It is due by midnight.  


MATH:
1. We had our first unit test today (on integers).  Ask your child how he/she did.  Ask him/her how they prepared for it.  I also collected and graded their notebook, unit tracking sheet, and their "What to do when you're done" sheet.  The rubric came home today so please take a look at it with your child.  

FRENCH:
1.  Students need to practise "5 par jour".  One student will be called upon to ask questions to their peers on Tuesday.

HISTORY:
1. Quiz this Friday, September 29 (grade 8s).  This will be based on the first page of Canada's Confederation.  

ART:
1. Print your animal and finish zentangle (due Wednesday)
2.  Colour your Canadian Iconic Image for next Wednesday
3. Pencil drawing of animal shape is due tomorrow
