HOUSEKEEPING:


1.  Please  sign the report card envelope and return it with your child.


2.  Complete the Skilled Trades Quiz on Google Classroom



KUDOS TO
:     Natalie for raising almost $1000 for our QSP.  Carson and Betty for being the first two kids to hand in their report cards.  And finally, Mobin, for creating a science study sheet for his peers.  Awesome.
 
HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:


1. Students should have in their notebooks by now: 8 vocabulary words, 2 responses about the connection between freedom and security, and 2 8-box "boxes" complete.


2.




MATH:



1.  Grade 8: you must watch the Flipped Learning video: "8 Math Geometry 7 3 F C Z Laws" (this is on the UTS) for Monday's class.  Very important to watch this over the weekend.


2. Grade 7: 7.2 on the UTS.  Before you try the homework, watch the flipped learning video: "7 Math Geometry 7 2 Congruent Shapes" on Math of the Titans


3. The rubric for their Math notebook (for the measurement unit) came home this week.  Check it over with your child: there is a very strong correlation between homework completion and success in Math.



FRENCH
:



1. Finish off the body paragraphs.  This will be due Monday.


HISTORY:
1.  A test on Residential schools is next Wednesday (it will be a one-paragraph response to 1 question).  Look at your notes, the timeline in the class, watch the Chanie Wenjack video, and even visit this site: http://wherearethechildren.ca/en/exhibition


2. On Monday we will be doing the paraphrasing activity



ART:




SCIENCE: 


1. Presentations start on Tuesday
2. Bring quizzes signed back to Mrs. Smith
3. Add your name to Google Class
