HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:


1. No Red Ink: first assessment (diagnostic) online.  Due Wednesday


2. Book talk rubrics are coming home today.  Please look these over with your child. 




MATH:



1.  The new UTS for Geometry came home yesterday.  Some students did not get this signed.  Please ensure this is done tonight.


2. Students received a grade for their math notebooks for the measurement unit.  A number of students handed them in late and with pieces missing.  Please take a look at your child's rubric tonight.


3. Grade 8: UTS 7.1 page 274 #1-5




4. Grade 7: story about the equilateral triangle:


Make up a story about a beautiful equliateral triangle. Be sure to include as many geometric terms as you can! Include puns, similes, metaphors, hyperboles...
158 - 320 words (you may type it). I am collecting the story and YOUR BRAINSTORMING



FRENCH
:



1. No need to finish the "body" section of the book talk.  You will have time tomorrow to work on this.


HISTORY:
1.  A test on Residential schools is coming (it will be a one-paragraph response to 1 question).  Look at your notes, the timeline in the class, watch the Chanie Wenjack video, and even visit this site: http://wherearethechildren.ca/en/exhibition
