HOUSEKEEPING:

1. MUSKOKA TRIP: 1st payment and registration form due December 20.  Still two more to payments to receive. 

2.  COURSE SELECTION:  Parents and Guardians: don't forget to sit down with your child and do a "'practice" course selection through Career Cruising.  Do not put this off!

3. HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION: The green registration form that came home in the red folder is due Tuesday, January 30.  I have received just one so far (Kudos to Carson)
  
KUDOS TO:   The class: I asked you to represent our school in the greatest possible light at the theatre and you were successful.  Not a scrap of garbage was left behind in the theatre, I heard a lot of "thank-yous", and you carried yourselves with poise. These experiences make me want to run as many field trips as I possibly can.


HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:

1. NOREDINK: New task (Assignment #4) is due Wednesday, December 20.  It is called: "Commonly Confused Words.  Let's see if we can get 100% completion on time with this one!


2.  NOVEL STUDY: Next week we begin our preparations for the essay.  Our first task involves gathering evidence.  Over the weekend, grab your sticky notes and mark passages that might be helpful for building a "Freedom vs. Security essay".  I will be looking for colourful page-marked books on Monday...

3. 


MATH:

1. Page one of the math tests came home.  The grade 7s received theirs yesterday, and the grade 8s received them today.  Please look them over with your child.  I will be doing re-testing on Monday for page 1 if the test is signed.
