HOUSEKEEPING:





1. Grade 8 Parents: the grade 8 trip forms (orange) came home.  The package includes our school permission form, information about the payment schedule, the Camp Muskoka Registration form, the itinerary, and a Camp Muskoka brochure.  Please read it over with your child and return the form and first payment by December 20.

2. Field trip!  On Friday, December 15th the grades 5-8 will be going to the local Cineplex to see "Wonder".  Payment and signed permission forms are due Monday, December 11 (school cash online is up and running).  School cash online will close on Monday at midnight.  

3.  Grade 8 Parents and Guardians: don't forget to sit down with your child and do a "'practice" course selection through Career Cruising.  Do not put this off!
 
KUDOS TO:    Aimee, for being the current "One Minute Geometry" champ: she can build a 90 degree angle and a 60 angle in 20.16 seconds using only a compass and a straight edge.


HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:


1.  NoRedInk: New task (Assignment #3) is due next Wednesday, December 13th.  It's all about sentence fragments.  Some students have already finished the homework! 


2. Continue submitting ideas to the "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace" on google docs





3  Novel Study: After today, students should have their 5th 8-box, 20 words, and their 5th Freedom/Security response done.
 


4. The following kids have not handed in their Career Posters (they are late): R.A., O.A., L.B.. 




MATH:



1. Grade 8: 7.5 on the  UTS is due Monday.  The unit test will be on Thursday. 


2. Grade 7s are working on a tessellation project IN CLASS.  If you see them doing it at home, take it away and burn it.    Their unit test will be on Thursday.


3. A geometry quiz came home for the 7s and the 8s.  Many of the 8s had difficulty with the quiz and will re-do it on Monday.  They need to have it signed to be able to redo it.  This test was written two weeks ago.  Sorry about the delay 


FRENCH:


1. We will begin our book talks on Monday!


2. I posted the new song on google classroom.  Click on the "French" link on the left, then open the assignment with the song.  Sing along as you listen.
