HOUSEKEEPING:
1. COURSE SELECTION: Parents and Guardians: don't forget to sit down with your child and do a "'practice" course selection through Career Cruising. Do not put this off!
2. HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION: The green registration form that came home in the red folder is due Tuesday, January 30.
3. Grade 8 Grad photos January 30th at 9:00. Start getting your beauty rest.
4. Still waiting for two kids to complete their Grade 9 Course Selection Survey on Google Classroom. I need that info!
KUDOS TO: Mobin, for helping me attach all the chromebook cables to the cart. As well, kudos to Jamie for volunteering to present her French book talk. She was the only one who stepped forward without the need for teacher cajoling. Kudos to Denys and Carson for singing to ETHAN(in French). As well, kudos to Scott and Mikayla for singing to Shauna.
HOMEWORK:
ENGLISH:
1. Persuasive Writing Organizer for our "Rick Mercer Rant" is due Tuesday, January 16.
2. Grade 8s: complete the preliminary Grade 9 Course Selection Survey on our Google Class. Still waiting for two more.
3. Zones: complete two of the questions from the lesson based on the Outsiders clips we watched in class. This is due tomorrow.
4. 5 kids didn't manage to finish their response to the Rick Mercer article. Get this done for tomorrow, please.
5. Rick Mercer Figurative Language is due Monday.
MATH:
1. Grade 7 and 8: Sign quiz 1.2 and be ready to re-do any missed questions tomorrow.
2. Grade 7: 1.3
3. Grade 8: Find the definition of a multiple. For real.
FRENCH:
1. Book talks continue tomorrow for those who haven't yet presented. Be ready. I know who you are.
2. We will be having a dictee on Wednesday based on the words from the first two wordscapes we completed in class yesterday.
HISTORY:
1. Grade 8s: we will have one more period to finish your prezi presentations. If you feel you need additional time, start working on it at home. Remember: no plagiarizing! Use your own words! Cite your sources!
