HOUSEKEEPING:
There are a lot of important dates coming up, parents, so I have highlighted them in yellow to ensure nothing gets forgotten.
1. Electives! Yes, once again we are offering Winter Electives this year. All the paperwork is coming home and is to be completed by January 31st. To access the google survey, your child must use their gapps yrdsb account and copy the following link: https://goo.gl/forms/lNqiyMYuAz32SuUc2 (or click here - ELECTIVES). 5 kids from our class have already filled out the survey! Nice!
2. COURSE SELECTION: Parents and Guardians: don't forget to sit down with your child and do a "'practice" course selection through Career Cruising. Do not put this off!
3. HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION: The green registration form that came home in the red folder is due TOMRROW!.
4. Grade 8 Grad photos TOMORROW at 9:00. Start getting your beauty rest. An envelope came home today for the 2018 class composite (if you are interested in purchasing one).
KUDOS TO: The girls' basketball team: you demonstrated the plays with great precision and were able to make adjustments on the fly.

1. NoRedInk (Articles, appositives, a vs. an) is due Wednesday, January 31st at 9:00 a.m. No late submissions are allowed, so make sure you start working on it a.s.a.p. .
2. Look up the bio of this famous Canadian: Viola Davis Desmond (our own "Rosa Parks"). We will be putting something together about this brave woman.
3. Tomorrow we will do our best to finish the shared essay. Time to revise.
