Monday, April 23, 2018

A number of students have a significant amount of reading to do for their lit circle books - talk to your child about setting aside time every night to read.

HOUSEKEEPING:

1. Look at the Science Classroom (Google Class) where the grade 8 "Packing List" for the upcoming Muskoka trip is found.  It may not be ready by 4:00 p.m. today, so check it out tomorrow.

2.

KUDOS TO
Robbie for making an incredibly cool magnetic maze for the escape room.

HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:

1.
Lit Circle #3 takes place on Wednesday: the task is to trick out your locker.  Remember: it's a metaphorical locker, so the items you include should not appear in a literal sense in the novel.  E.g., if the character is always playing with a rubber ball, I don't want to see that in the locker.  More like, if the character is always thinking about his mom who is away on a business trip, maybe there is a photo of her in the locker.

2. 1-7-3 Paragraph reflecting on today's lesson is due Wednesday. It's on google classroom.

3. Passion Project: Thursday is our next session.  Make sure you have materials/work to do for that time.

MATH:

1.   Math bonus is up and running.  This is due Wednesday.

2.  Grade 8: 6.2 homework on the UTS

3. Grade 7: page 44 a-h

FRENCH
:

1.  All dialogues must be uploaded by Tuesday at midnight.

2.

GEOGRAPHY GRADE 8:
1. Quiz next class on settlement patterns

Health Grade 8:1.   List of 20 foods that are good for you (specifically), divided up by breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and beverages).  This is due next Wednesday.

Music:1. Essay on Jazz due April 27, 2018 at midnight.  This is the final draft.

2.
