Wednesday, April 18, 2018
A number of students have a significant amount of reading to do for their lit circle books - talk to your child about setting aside time every night to read.
HOUSEKEEPING:
1. VORC permission forms are due Wednesday! Grade 7s - get on it! I still need forms from: CG, KC, and JP
2. DDPA Excellence Award Nomination forms came home today (blue). This is a chance to nominate a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the DDPS community.
KUDOS TO: Shauna, Mikayla, Betty, and Ella for helping sort Mme Le Moine's consumable order!
HOMEWORK:
ENGLISH:
1. Lit Circle #3 takes place next Wednesday: the task is to trick out your locker. Remember: it's a metaphorical locker, so the items you include should not appear in a literal sense in the novel. E.g., if the character is always playing with a rubber ball, I don't want to see that in the locker. More like, if the character is always thinking about his mom who is away on a business trip, maybe there is a photo of her in the locker.
2. Passion Project: complete the survey tonight on g. classroom about what form of presentation you will have for May the 4th. We are working on passion projects tomorrow for 60 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MATH:
1. Grade 8 test (today's) is coming home. Pretty amazing results. Very proud of the 8s. Please take a look at it with your child tonight.
