HOUSEKEEPING:
1. Pasta lunch forms (yellow) came home Friday.
2. Borrow eBooks and audiobooks from the YRDSB school collection. Visit http://yrdsb.lib.overdrive.com. In order to login to access Overdrive, students will need to add a zero to their student number to login (0xxxxxxxxx)
KUDOS TO: Mobin, for creating a great study sheet for the French test. And Ella, for drawing an enormous map of Canada on the whiteboard (also to study for the test). Finally, good luck to Mikayla at regionals!
HOMEWORK:
ENGLISH:
1. Book talks are starting. Every student has been given access to the rubric on Classroom: look it over with your parents and prepare any questions you may have. As well, the outline is there for you to use! There is also a copy of the "Book talk in 10 steps" lesson. We will be presenting late next week.
2. Students will have a 7-word summary test this week (based on a chapter of Seedfolks). They are encouraged to practise this skill by making short summaries of stories they read, shows they watch, and even of conversations they have! Today in class, we re-read Gonzalo's chapter and students wrote 7-word summaries (Jessica and Kaitlin had terrific examples).
MATH:
1. I will be giving some time in class tomorrow to complete the 10.4. No homework tonight.
FRENCH:
1. Students will have a French test on Wednesday: they will need to know all of the provinces, territories, and capitals of Canada...in French!
2. Students need to continue practising "5 par jour".
