HOUSEKEEPING:

1. Edge Imaging portraits came home today.  Online orders are pretty easy to do; instructions are on the package.  Photo orders are due November 2, 2017

KUDOS TO: Betty and Ella for organizing the laptop cart.  We appreciate the help!

HOMEWORK:

ENGLISH:

1. I handed back the 7-word summary test.  We took up the general problems that came up in the class as well as looked at what was done very well. Please take a look at it with your child tonight.  There will be a second test....soon....

2. Book TALKS: Outline was due today.  I did a sample book talk so kids could see/hear exactly what I'm expecting (thanks for the positive feedback L.B.)    It came to my attention today that some students haven't finished their FIRST novel yet (kids should have read at least 3-4 books by now).  Please sit down with your child tonight and ask the following: "Which book are you doing for the book talk?  How many pages do you have left?"

3. Passion Project: this Friday, we will be presenting our Passion project proposals a la "Dragon's Den".  To do this effectively, you will need to complete the survey on Google Class.  That should help you narrow down your topic to the driving question.  You will need to make a very short presentation using google slides (4-5 slides) to support your pitch.

4. Finish template and typed version of summary for IBL due Friday.
